Coyotes recall Heshka, return Boedker to minors
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) The Phoenix Coyotes have recalled defenseman Shaun Heshka from their San Antonio AHL affiliate and are sending forward Mikkel Boedker back to the minors.
Both moves were announced by the team on Friday.
Heshka had two goals and two assists in 13 games with San Antonio this season. He was acquired by Phoenix from Vancouver on June 27 for a seventh-round draft pick.
The 19-year-old Boedker, a first-round pick in 2008, was recalled from San Antonio on Tuesday. He played in Wednesday night's loss at Colorado but was a healthy scratch the following day against Chicago.
Boedker was first sent to San Antonio on Oct. 14 after he went pointless in five games for the Coyotes.
