Jackets activate Czech defenseman Hejda
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) The Columbus Blue Jackets activated Czech defenseman Jan Hejda on Wednesday.
Hejda, one of Columbus' most valuable defensive players and a veteran of 207 NHL games, played in five games before injuring a knee. He has missed the Blue Jackets' last eight games, and was activated in time for the home game against San Jose late Wednesday.
